Out-of-Work Book Sign-In
If you need to sign the Out-of-Work Book, you may do so in person, fax or by email.
Local Members: Please provide a copy of your dues receipt and your termination slip.
Travelers: Please bring or email your Travel Letter (including whether or not you completed an apprenticeship program, D.O.B., SSN, Phone Number and Email for Labor Power entry) along with your dues receipt.

***ANNUAL RESIGN***
Any Members wanting to remain on the Out Of Work Book must resign annually. Resigns must be done via email @ resignbook@ibew716.net. , fax @ (713)-868-6342 or in person. Please submit a copy of your dues receipt and state that you are doing your annual resign.

TAKING A JOB CALL
Job calls will be posted by 5pm each day on the website and the job line. Applicants can sign the day sheet either in person between 8am and 9am the day of referral, call in between 8am and 9am the day of referral or email to daysheet@ibew716.net between 5 pm the day before referral up to 8am the day of referral to be placed on the day sheet. When placing your name on the day sheet include: full name, card number and phone number. (If multiple calls are available, please specify the call or calls you are interested in). All applicants must meet all requirements for a job referral before roll call begins. Calls will be filled in order the applicants are registered on the book. Starting at 9:30am, the Dispatcher will start calling to fill the job calls. All applicants accepting a referral over the phone must pick up referral and any associated paperwork by 12 noon unless otherwise stated. If applicant accepts a referral over the phone and comes to the hall to get referral without the required documents requested for the job call, the applicant will have to resign the bottom of the book. Also, if applicant fails to report to pick up the referral after accepting the job call, you will need to come in in person to resign the bottom of the book. **Emails before 5:00 pm business day or after 8:00 am business day will NOT be accepted**-

29- Journeyman Job Calls –
4 – Fisk Electric –
– Memorial Herman Sugar Land – Applicant must be able to pass a background check and mandatory drug screen, have a valid DL, SS card, TX License, and OSHA 10. This is a non-smoking jobsite with a 6 am start time will be working some Saturdays. Report to shop on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 @ 7:00 am.
2– Southland –
– Service Truck/Scattered Commercial– Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10, and a valid TX JW Electrical License. Will be interviewed. Must report to shop immediately after roll call for interview.
2 – Britain Electric –
– VA Main Campus (77030) – Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, and a valid TX Electrical License. Report to office immediately after roll call for paperwork and orientation.
11– Intermountain Electric –
10– IAH – Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and TSA background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, a valid TX Electrical License, Steel-toe Boots, COE, and a voided check for direct deposit. This is a non-smoking jobsite working 4(10’s) with possible overtime with a 6 am start time. Must report to shop on following day @ 6:30 am for orientation and paperwork.
1– IAH – Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and TSA background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, a valid TX Electrical License, Steel-toe Boots, COE, a voided check for direct deposit and have prior welding experience. This is a non-smoking jobsite working 6(10’s) with a 6 am start time. This job will include welding supports and brackets on conveyors at $1.00 above scale while welding. A weld test will be performed to verify required skill-level to complete tasks. Must report to shop on following day @ 6:30 am for orientation and paperwork.
2 – Wayne Electric –
– Medical Center – Applicant must be able to pass a background check and mandatory drug screen, have a valid DL, SS card, TX JW License, and OSHA 10. This is a non-smoking jobsite with a 6:30 am start time. Report to shop immediately after roll call.
3– Big State Electric –
1 – Service Truck/Scattered Commercial– Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10, and a valid TX JW Electrical License. Must have a minimum of 2 years of service truck experience. Will be interviewed. Report to shop immediately after roll call.
1 – 5356 Kelley St, Houston, TX 77026 (LBJ)– Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10, and a valid TX Electrical License. Will be working Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Report to shop immediately after roll call.
1 – 8118 Houston Ave., Houston, TX 77064 (Foxconn)– Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10, and a valid TX Electrical License. Will be working Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm with possible overtime. Report to shop immediately after roll call.
4 – Melton Electric –
1 – Scattered Commercial (Service Dept)- Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10 and a valid TX JW Electrical License. Report to shop after roll call then to jobsite the next day.
3 – West Houston (Memorial Area) – Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL, SS Card, OSHA 10 and a valid TX JW Electrical License. Report to shop after roll call then to jobsite the next day.
1 – Mid-West Electric –
– Service Truck – Applicant must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, have a valid DL with a clean driving record, SS Card, OSHA 10, a valid TX Journeyman Electrical License and previous service truck experience with a minimum of 5 years as a service truck. Will be interviewed. Must report to shop immediately after roll call for paperwork and orientation.
